Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to enhance the quality, performance and security of our critical business applications and to support our Application Engineering teams in their pursuit to deliver features quickly, easily and reliably.

You will work closely and collaboratively with Product, Application Engineering, Network and Infrastructure and Support staff and you will be expected to be self-directed in pursuit of identifying and resolving gaps in Service Definitions, Monitoring, Performance, Availability and Security of our applications.

You will be always on the lookout for opportunities to automate repeatable manually intensive operational and support tasks and be pro-active in undertaking to have these opportunities prioritized

Your success in this role will contribute to increasing the frequency of deployments whilst simultaneously improving the deployed software reliability, security and cost effectiveness. You will also attain success by delivering productivity gains to operations and support staff through the application of your automation skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering, network, and infrastructure resources to develop agreed Service Level Objectives
  • Develop and enhance monitoring capabilities to enable capture, reporting and alerting to deviations from agreed objectives
  • Provide technical support to business users and functional administrators on day-to-day infrastructure operations for Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations and in-house developed Corporate Travel Booking and Corporate Travel Finance Management Web Applications and supporting API’s
  • Continuously upgrade system monitoring and develop automated remediation processes to reduce manual efforts, increase efficiency, reduce system errors and outages
  • Automate processes for deploying and managing the refresh of system configuration and data between environments
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for new and existing applications
  • Perform Security, User, Role and License Auditing and Management

 

 

 

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Azure infrastructure operations, software engineering, security operations or site reliability engineering role
  • Experience with Azure Automation, PowerShell/Bash Scripting or equivalent automation tooling
  • Experience with Azure Application Insights or equivalent monitoring tools
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines or equivalent CI/CD tooling
  • Experience with Azure ARM Templates and the Azure CLI
  • Experience with AAD Identity and or Azure Security Centre
  • Experience with App Service Environments, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus
  • Experience with Azure SQL database administration
  • Microsoft Azure or MS Dynamics F&O accreditations favored
  • Financial process and Travel industry experience would be beneficial

Location: Remote, US

Must be within driving distance to one of our offices located in Boston, MA, Montvale, NJ or Philadelphia, PA

This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except the State of Colorado.
