Better Buying Consultant FCM

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a better buying consultant to join our Supply team on behalf of the FCM UKI Business. The role will be based at the FCM UK Chancery Lane office in London.

The key responsibility is to maximise bookings conversions to increase both savings for the customer and margin to the business.

You will work closely with the FCM UKI Operations teams to develop consultants’ awareness and ensure consultants are trained on the various tools and techniques . You will also concentrate on converting missed opportunities post-booking by utilising your expertise in airfare knowledge to source better content.

Key Requirements:

  • Organisation- Able to manage several responsibilities competently.
  • Persistence and attention to detail- A large portion of this role will be around training the consultants on how to use and then identify future opportunities for savings/margin. You will be required to coach consultants on the business logic and tools.
  • Customer service and team player - Able to build relationships and go out of your way to exceed expectations. Ability to work with your colleagues at all levels and to drive the team forward whilst ensuring that you can deal with consultants in brand.
  • Good listener and trainer - Be able to communicate with people at all levels and deliver accurate information in the right manner.
  • Embrace change and be flexible • Utilising new and existing booking tools to maximise savings/margin for the business.
  • Exceptional product knowledge- Must have an outstanding knowledge of the travel industry and scheduled airfares for both leisure and corporate brands of FCUK.
  • Communication skills - Must be able to communicate effectively making sure all applicable channels are clear and informative.
  • Customer service / support- Providing a service / support to our customer and other departments we work closely with.
  • Airfare knowledge-At Least 2 years’ experience in a support or consultant capacity.
  • Amadeus knowledge Be competent in Amadeus
  • Presentation Skills Ability to promote and deliver up to date training of airfares to the consultants in brand.

This is a full-time contract- working from FCM office locations in the UK
