About the Opportunity

We are looking for Business Development to join the team in Cancun, Mexico. This is a dynamic, fast-paced and results-driven environment that will suit an energetic and strategic thinker with a clear vision. You will bring your exceptional knowledge of the Americas travel market, along with solid networking and communication skills. The role of the Business Development Executive for this region is an exciting opportunity to promote to the (region) markets. The goal would be to acquire new business within the (region) in accordance to set targets. They create new sales opportunities by identifying target markets and focus on key business areas via means of corporate networking, client profiling, and cold calling. They present Discova products and services in a compelling financial and operational offering in order to develop new customers and sell additional products, services, and destinations to existing ones. There will be an element of account managing established account

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term multilevel relationships with key decision-makers to improve opportunities for new sales and account development.
  • Prepare reviews of the program for clients and recommendations to clients on strategic direction.
  • Responsible for client implementation including the coordination of all departments and functions to deliver a successful service.
  • Collaborating and communicating with the Account Management team to ensure customer satisfaction and growth in line with company budgets.
  • Responsible for sales in Discova Asia and Americas Destinations.  
  • Source, approach and win new business opportunities within the travel market that they are responsible for.
  • Establish relationships with new and current partners; building on key relationships.
  • Responsible for delivering growth with existing partners in existing and new destinations.
  • Responsible for sales in Discova Asia and Americas Destinations and establish relationships with new and current partners; building on key relationships.
  • Source, approach and win new business opportunities within the travel market that they are responsible for.
  • Responsible for delivering growth with existing partners in existing and new destinations
  • Ask as well as participate in any training or upskilling recommended by the leader or you feel relevant to your role.
  • Ensure you maintain up to date with product knowledge and understand the Discova offerings.

About you:
The Essentials:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience - Degree in tourism and hospitality is an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years experience Sales with a solid track record of successful B2B development/sales - (sales experience in the travel industry is a plus).
  • Experience working in the countries they are responsible for.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Ability to travel extensively monthly throughout the regions of responsibility and returning back to head office.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and implementing change when needed.
  • Excellent communicator to a diverse range of people (customers, suppliers, team members, leaders).
  • High attention to details, and self-motivated.
  • Able to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks and able to work outside office hours when required.
  • Solution focused and great at problem solving.
  • Able to work independently and within a team assisting team members to help everyone achieve results.
  • Flexible rotating roster that may include late nights, weekends and early mornings and flexible with uncertainties/changing priorities and under pressure.
  • Willing to travel on business when required
