About the Opportunity:

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, connected and dynamic Business Development Executive to join the FCM Meetings and Events Sydney or Melbourne based team. 

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the sales team through a mixture of prospecting, networking, tender submissions and client relationship building with the end result being new business development for the FCM Meetings and Events brand.

  • To support the Business Development Team in securing new customers for FCM Meetings and Events
  • Working with the Director of Sales, and Business Development Managers to ensure that programs are compelling and are designed to meet the client’s event brief within budget at a profitable level for the company
  • Develop the team’s proposals, illustrating the solution you will deliver on against the brief and articulating points of differentiation

About you:

  • Minimum of 2 years of corporate event, conference and incentive management experience
  • A knowledge of all major suppliers and relevant MICE products/destinations
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Event Management or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Able to deliver on deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both spoken and written
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written communication
  • Excellent presentation design skills
  • A strong relationship builder
