About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Global Corporate Land Commissions Manager, you will analyse the current commission processes and work with our commission’s collection company to ensure all hotel commission is collected in a timely manner. You will implement sufficient financial controls and processes to improve Flight Centre Travel Group commission collection outcomes and audit hotel responses for accuracy and support the business with commission related queries.
This is a hybrid role; expectations are that you will work from our office in Toronto 3 days per week and remotely for 2 days.

Excellent oral and written communication: Ability to communicate information to people at all levels of the business. Ability to communicate with hotels and influence them to improve their commission payment processes
Ability to challenge accepted business convention: Persistence in challenging business decisions and processes
Key Responsibilities
Commissions Collection and Analysis
Work with Onyx to identify outstanding commission
Provide monthly reporting on each hotel chain’s commission payment performance
Contact hotels to support Onyx activity to collect outstanding commission
Audit hotel responses for accuracy
Set up processes to ensure financial controls remain in place for commission collection
Reporting
Develop and maintain reporting processes and systems which allow businesses to report and track commission earnings
Distribution
Work with Finance to ensure successful distribution of all commission to the correct consultants and teams
Report on unallocated commission collected per brand
Support
Provide support to the front-end businesses on general commission queries
Ad hoc reporting on commission payments relating to teams or customers
Investigate missing commission and follow up queries relating to payments
Support the collection of group commission, not supported by Onyx
Position Requirements:
Previous experience in travel or related industry
Previous experience with revenue recovery preferred
Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business processes
Demonstrated ability to support strategic decision making and market awareness
Demonstrated ability to work with the business to achieve business goals
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience in PowerBI or other similar data visualisation technologies is an asset
