Corporate Travel Pricing Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global FCM Business in a newly created role. Based on pre-COVID levels, globally FCM is considered one of the top 5 TMCs globally.  This role is important in ensuring our continued success and future growth in turnover and market share.

The individual as part of the Global Pricing team will take responsibility for customer pricing and contract management across our Global equity businesses and Partners.

Across these markets, the individual will be required to ensure our customer pricing is commercially sound, accurate, consistent, reflecting our value as a TMC and is appropriate for FCM, the customer and industry in which the customer operates. To enable this, the individual will be required to continually evolve our current pricing models, build new models and perform adhoc analysis to ensure we fulfil these objectives.

This role will require the individual to work effectively both individually and within a team, they will be required to establish strong working relationships with our regional pricing and finance teams. Also, to ensure our contractual obligations are sound, they will be required to establish strong relationships with key experts including legal, operational, risk & compliance and technology.

The individual will have to develop a deep understanding of our FCM commercial model to ensure the customer pricing offered across our markets is appropriate and commercially viable for us as a business and ensure we achieve our key strategic objectives.

The role will require the individual to be the subject matter expert for both customer pricing and contract management.

By being subject matter expert, the individual will be able to ensure processes in these areas are robust, streamlined, efficient and well controlled.

The role will have the following focus:

  • Embedding newly designed customer pricing processes and controls.
  • Continue to implement, adapt, and improve our existing customer pricing model.
  • Obtaining a deep understanding of the FCM commercial model to reflect in our customer pricing approach.
  • Perform adhoc analysis and utilize current reporting to advise our customer pricing strategy.
  • Implement robust processes and controls to ensure our contract management process is implemented and effective and mitigates our risk around contract compliance.
  • Maintain an appropriate FCM customer contract register.

Criteria of Successful Candidate:

To be successful in the role the candidate will have the following key competences and experiences:

  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with an ability to communicate with finance and non-finance individuals and comfortable presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
  • A strong attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accuracy.
  • A logical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work to deadlines and deliver on commitments
  • Ability to design and implement processes and controls
  • Strong knowledge and experience of producing and working with financial models in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to really understand the commercial model of a business and key drivers which are critical to profitable growth
  • Strong customer service approach
  • A genuine team player, appreciating the importance of team goals
  • Good time management; being flexible and adaptable
  • A keen desire to learn new things
  • A proven focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
