This role is not for the faint hearted though, you will be responsible for supporting our existing Azure APIM environment and the wider Microsoft Azure Integration Infrastructure. It is a technically hands-on role and will require you to lead the design and build of complex infrastructure, operational processes, and infrastructure automation.
This is a position that you can make your own, drive and establish the function and shape the practice for Cloud Native services and mature our DevOps practises.
The Opportunity in a nutshell:
Drive the design, documentation, and maintenance of our cloud services in Azure
Direct operational efficiencies through automation of repetitive tasks
Manage risk by planning and testing disaster recovery scenarios
Establish great monitoring practices
Work closely with engineers from our digital and consultant commerce teams to ensure that the services are optimised and running at peak performance
Provide and implement best practices for DevOps automation and collaborate with the architecture and product teams to build and refine CI/CD processes
Automate cloud deployments, as well as build CI/CD pipeline to support APIM and products deployments
Collaborate with the wider Flight Centre Travel Group infrastructure & security teams to ensure the environment is protected and to pro-actively reduce the attach surface of all Azure resources
Work as technical lead in the Azure space
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
This is a hands-on role, requiring in-depth knowledge of Azure Infrastructure
5+ years’ experience in a DevOps role across production critical environments in medium to large enterprise and multi-vendor environments
History in managing cloud infrastructure, Azure is essential
Strong experience in performing infrastructure activities in Microsoft Azure environment in a complex enterprise environment supporting provisioning Microsoft Azure platform, identity network, server, firewall, load balancer, dns, monitoring & logging
Experience in the following components Azure Network Setup, Azure Web Server Provisioning, Azure DB Server Provisioning with replication, Azure Firewall Rules, Azure Load Balancer Setup,. Azure DNS , Azure Monitoring, Azure Patching Process, Azure Availability Set, Azure Object Storage, Azure APIM
Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience building solutions from cloud components using tools like Terraform, Ansible
Expertise in cloud security and identity best practices
Experience in creating cloud cost models and running cloud readiness assessments
