About the Opportunity
We are on the hunt for a Global Store Merchandising Leader to join our dynamic, fast-paced and successful Global Marketing team. In this role, you will report to the Flight Centre Travel Group Leisure CMO as well as the Flight Centre brand Head of Marketing and be part of the marketing discipline leadership group.
This role is centred around optimizing Flight Centre brands instore experience, and sales, by ensuring that all retail stores globally adhere to a one-best-way instore visual experience standard (point of sale, fitout displays, digital screens, marketing fixtures, co-op real estate). Along with the standardisation of the branding opportunities in our stores, you will also be key in supporting store opening marketing plans, and building out the strategy, planning and implementation activities of the store-of-the-future.
You will work closely with both Global Property/Fitout and Operations teams, as well as the regional Retail & Marketing Managers to ensure both global and regional needs are being considered with all in store merchandising plans, as you work collectively to build out the plans for the store of the future.
You will have a sound understanding of retail, sales, campaign and marketing life cycles and be an expert in understanding how to maximize a store’s branding, retail and real estate areas to boost the instore experience.
As the Global Store Merchandising Leader, you will be experienced in providing key stakeholders with campaign, ROI and performance reporting. You will be able to easily integrate, interrogate, and translate data into tangible insights and are encouraged and expected to continue to increasingly look to build on these skills.
You will proactively work closely with all marketing discipline teams, including the Global Partnership Leaders to uncover additional instore partnerships and co-op opportunities globally to further develop and enhance the store-of-the-future roadmap.
As the Global Store Merchandising Leader, you are expected to strive for creativity and a point of difference in your work which will assist in showcasing Flight Centre as a brand leader in the travel industry. You are customer and brand obsessed and are driven to deliver the best customer experience possible through your understanding and creative use of our retail footprint and retail environments to drive an amazing instore experience.
As this role will support the Flight Centre Global Marketing strategies and support regional businesses, flexibility will be required to join calls outside of standard business hours on occasion. Flexible time will be provided.
What you will bring to the role
Sound understanding of retail, sales, campaign and marketing lifecycles
Strong communicator and able to negotiate outcomes on behalf of brand priorities
Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how to leverage partners for co-op benefit for the instore environment
Ability to work both independently within various working team environments
Who you are
8+ years of experience in a marketing and merchandising based role
Fundamental understanding of customer lifecycle and retailing
Experience and understanding of the travel industry (desired)
