About the opportunity
The Group Travel Manager is the face of Group Travel to a large mix of customers. Group Travel Managers must have the ultimate customer centric mindset and always demonstrate solution-based thinking. Strong communication and relationship building skills are key to ensuring our high touch customers always receive an exceptional experience. A Group Travel Manager is an expert in the booking and management of group travel requirements for a broad range of customers including Corporates, Schools and Special Interest groups. Embodying all elements of FCM Meetings and Events, the Group Travel Manager is results-driven and delivers through customer engagement, proactivity, and attention to detail.
Expert in all corporate travel product knowledge that delivers the best outcome for the customer & FCM
Assist in making professional and accurate business travel arrangements for our corporate accounts including air, car, hotel, and ground transportation reservations.
Follow company procedures, account guidelines and customer service standards in the area of; sourcing products, quoting, making travel arrangements, ticketing, ticket exchanges/changes, CRS/GDS productivity.
Excellent communicator and professionalism
Work as a team member and assist other travel managers as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client.
Maintain favourable working relationships with accounts and all of their company employees
Provide solutions to travel related problems clients may have experienced with arrangements
Expertise in fares and complex itineraries, amazing attention to detail and a passion for customer service.

GDS - SABRE
Microsoft Office skills - essential specifically Excel
Group booking platforms - VA GSO and Qantas Groups experience is non-essential
Event Management Technology - EventsAir/Cvent experience is non-essential
