About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
Able to prepare the vision, plans, and goals for IDS Indonesia.
Able to identify opportunities to grow sales, especially within the hotel industry.
Work closely with other Discova departments including Product to form a clear strategic direction.
Be able to lead a team of salespeople to reach sales targets and ensure that we continually identify opportunities for new tour desks and destinations.
Business development and implementation of a local marketing plan to drive sales in each destination including PR, campaigns and other marketing activities with channel partners eg. Hotels.
Understand and analyses team budget, PNL and financial reports
Service all internal and external inquiries professionally and efficiently within 24 hours or according to business needs.
Identifying gaps for development to improve the customer experience eg training analysis, complaint handling or mastery in the customer sales experience. Develop quality monitoring programs (mystery shoppers, customer satisfaction survey, etc.).
Resolve customer service issues to customer’s satisfaction with appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Oversee regular audits to minimize risk of fraud.
Empower team members to take ownership of their work through appropriate delegations and trainings and create an environment where people feel supported, connected, and empowered.

About you: The Essentials:
Have retail B2C experience.
Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a sales team in the tourism industry.
Track record of strong sales and business development.
Extensive product knowledge of your region.
Strong business acumen.
Fluid in written and spoken English as well as the local language.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster teamwork promoting diversity and inclusion

Solid collaboration and communication skill (verbal and written)
High attention to details & strong time/priority management skills
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills across culture
Flexible rotating roster that may include late nights, weekends, and early mornings and flexible with uncertainties/changing priorities and under pressure.
Willing to travel on business when required
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
