We are recruiting a team of Junior Accountants to support our Leisure brand Accountants in ensuring strong financial health of our Store Network businesses. This role looks after key financial transactions relates to sales and cost of sales within this business, ensuring completeness and accuracy in recording of this financial information.  

The role requires you to have a high attention to detail, accuracy, independence and a diligent work ethic. Flexible can-do attitude, strong teamwork and time management skills, and an ability to adapt in a fast-paced ever-changing environment is a must to succeed in this role.

This is an entry level role, great for someone looking to start their career in Accounting in a large ASX listed company.

Duties:

• Reconciliations such as bank, third party statement and others-Processing of internal charges
• Assist with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives
• Respond to finance related queries from front end operations within SLA, under guidance from Accountants
• Support exceptions handling of an automated process which records sales and cost of sales financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes
• Protect our business by monitoring and reviewing at risk items such as, outstanding cash, audit ledgers, debit ledgers and unreconciled transactions-Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes

Skills and Capabilities:

• Studying towards completing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar-Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
• Strong attention to detail and motivation to learn-High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure-Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop
