We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking for the perfect opportunity to join Global Supply (GS). GS is a global business (a pillar of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG)) which operates in over 20 countries, across multiple brands and various segments within the travel industry. It exists to support the customer's experience in-destination and throughout their travel journey including Global Experiences, Global Procurement, Global Touring, Global Hotels and Shared Service centres of excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating and reporting on financial information about the performance, financial position, risks, and processes of the businesses which it supports. The management accountant supports decision-making by applying best practices so that information is accurate, reliable, and timely.
Tasks and responsibilities
Development and documentation of systems and business processes
Detailed understanding of end-to-end transactional finance process
Ability to understand, review and improve processes
Managing the financial control for GS accounts in Microsoft D365 accounting system
Preparation of monthly end reporting and packs in line with standards and policies
Track financial performance to ensure correct recognition of transactions
Support the annual audit for the GS component of the business
Actively improve and develop reporting, system, and process improvements
Develop productive and supportive relationships with areas of the business/countries that you partner with
Identify oddities in the recognition of sales items to identify areas of system or process issues
Project work for the expansion of the shared service function into other areas of the business
About you
Business or Commerce Degree
2+ years of experience in an audit or commercial role
SUN/Dynamics 365 experience desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on excel
You will need to be personable and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be managing partnerships with other areas of the business. Attention to detail is a must when working through reporting as we need to provide accurate information which will drive commercial decision-making. Enjoy working through process development and improvement to streamline business practices. Have strong analytical skills and understanding of the interaction between the balance sheet and income statement along with the application of the account standards. An interest in problem-solving, proactively anticipating risk areas and providing solutions.
