About the Opportunity:
The Junior Product Application Lead is a champion for the Finance IT services they are responsible for. Working under the guidance of the Product Application Lead they are responsible for the applications and processes used by the business and will ensure these are managed over their entire lifecycle and contribute to the objectives of the organisation. Their role is to assist with the execution of the product vision and strategy as defined by the product owner and enhance the application for the customers that use the service.
The Junior Product Application Lead will know how the applications work, are performing and report on agreed SLA’s relating to the service. Working closely with their team, IT colleagues and the businesses they support, this person will have effective skills in communicating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
The Junior Product Application Lead will work with the Product Application Lead, Technical Lead, Delivery Manager and Support Lead to deliver product enhancements, manage incidents and resolve and reduce support tickets to optimise the service from a cost / performance / customer experience perspective as appropriate.
On a day-to-day basis they will work directly with the Product Application Lead, engineers and service providers to deliver product enhancements. They will also work closely with the Support Lead and support team to improve the support services offered to the business ie support tickets, systems admin, knowledge articles, related to the applications they support.
Prior experience is highly regarded to undertake the role of Junior Product Application Lead. A minimum of 2 years experience in an application management role and relevant finance experience, with accounting/IT qualifications.
The Junior Product Application Lead is required to have a high level of communication skills, both written and oral, a detailed understanding of finance systems, excellent personal management skills and the ability to review and change processes to achieve best practice standards.
Other desirable skills include: Service Delivery Management and Release Management, ITIL, business analysis, testing certified, travel industry knowledge.
