Flight Centre Travel Group Limited’s (ASX 200) global legal team is looking for a commercial thinker to join the team as Legal Counsel. You will be joining a well-established global legal function (with lawyers in several countries across the business) and will be a key business partner. This is a rare opportunity to join a global legal function operating out of Brisbane and is a new role created to meet the Group’s expanding requirements as global travel continues to recover in the “living with COVID-19” era .
Competitive Market Salary Package / Full Time (Hybrid office / work from home model)
About the role
Working with several senior experienced lawyers within the team, this role is fast paced, interesting and will see you working across the Group’s many and diverse business units. The key workstreams associated with the role are as follows:
Broad range commercial work including carriage of key commercial agreements from negotiating through to documentation and administration longer term;
Global Privacy & Data Protection related work;
General IT vendor and consulting services contracting;
Competition & Consumer law issues and advice (including review of marketing and promotional content); and
General commercial advice.
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
5-10 years' PAE;
Demonstrated experience across commercial contracting ideally with training within a specialist commercial team in a well regarded law firm or relevant in-house experience (secondment experience will be considered sufficient);
Commercially savvy and a non "black letter" approach.
Problem solving and analysis
Degree essential
