About the role

The role, reporting to the Events and LSM Manager, is responsible for local and community marketing and event activity for the Travel Associates network in Australia and NZ. Working in a high-performance Support team, you will be an efficient and effective marketing specialist who is comfortable working with a retail network of Business Leaders and Advisors to build the Travel Associates brand, generate community awareness and ensure local community involvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of a broad range of marketing and event activities for the Travel Associates network of 50 owned businesses in AU and 6 in NZ.
  • Deploy the Local Store Marketing (LSM) strategy for the brand with a view to expanding a successful strategy into other markets as the brand grows.
  • Brief media agency, and brief creative requirements for appropriate and high profile sites and local media to assist with brand building.
  • Develop a premium and cost-effective ‘mini’ or localised marketing strategy (events, advertising, PR and general marketing) for each business within the local community, positioning each store as THE luxury travel agency of note for discerning travellers to acquire new clients.
  • Assist businesses to host and run additional luxury client events aimed at new customer acquisition, and report on the success of the events.
  • Work with businesses to increase Client Y2M statistics within the office to grow the national TA database and assist client retention.
  • Develop an LSM email schedule / topics for communication to the client database of each business, including drafting the copy, briefing the designer on creative approach and assisting the Digital Marketing Executive with distribution.
  • Continually update and manage business and advisor profiles on the website, including digital office listings, and content, plus guide and oversee localised social media strategies.
  • Work with businesses to identify and secure local PR opportunities to build brand and advisor authority and credibility in the community.

 

About You 

To be successful you will possess: 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, Event management or similar role.
  • Digital marketing experience, including;
    • a knowledge of general organic and paid social media strategy,
    • an understanding of Google My Business and Google Analytics,
    • basic web platform management
    • basic coding experience would also be ideal
  • Ability to communicate openly and effectively with key stakeholders including peers and senior management, as well as travel advisors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication to generate lasting connections within the business and industry
  • Ability to brief and manage multiple deadlines and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate budget spreadsheets, and to be creative with budgets at any level
  • Copywriting and communications/PR experience would be ideal
  • Community management experience, localised PR strategies
