What the role will involve:

As the Management Accountant, you will provide support to the Senior Finance Business Partner and other key internal stakeholders in the Travel Associates Network. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of month end/ year end results while ensuring financial information is delivered in compliance with regulatory reporting and Flight Centre Travel Group Accounting Policies. Additionally, you will provide support with financial insights, using Power Bi and data analysis to assist in decision making.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be able to foster relationships across multiple teams, while also looking to grow and develop their own skill base.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Half Year and Full Year Audit
  • Review supplier invoices and manage the AP process
  • Assist with the preparation of our forecast and budget
  • Financial control across financial results and balance sheet
  • Invoice both internal and external businesses for services rendered
  • Month end close and preparation of financial reporting and analysis
  • Support our Travel Associates Business Leaders with their Finance queries
  • Design management reports effectively, capturing key business indicators
  • Review of expense and income coding across all Travel Associates accounts

Education and qualifications: 

  • CPA/CA, or working towards
  • 3 years accounting experience
  • Excel, SQL and Power BI proficient
  • Knowledge of the travel business highly desired but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills with initiative to resolve issues and communicate opportunities as they are identified
