Marketing Manager – Independent Americas


About the opportunity:

Independent Americas is seeking a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the strategic development and successful implementation of marketing programs across Independent by Liberty Travel and Independent by Flight Centre.

The Marketing Manager will work with business units to implement our brand standards and to drive a more consistent brand experience across marketing operations. The marketing manager will be responsible for administrating the setup of a marketing platform that will house all marketing assets, execute end-to-end marketing campaigns, and measure impact with analytics and reporting tools. The marketing manager will also be responsible for ongoing education and development of the independent contractors on marketing strategies that will overall grow the business and brand awareness. In addition, the marketing manager will be responsible for the member acquisition strategy through paid channels.

The marketing manager will be a key role to our continued success and to be competitive in the host agency market by elevating our USP’s for Independent by Liberty Travel and Independent by Flight Centre.


System Admin for Marketing Platform

  • Primary point person working with third party software company to assist in the set up of platform and to continue to manage marketing collateral and campaigns moving forward.
  • Provide reporting and analysis of marketing programs to determine the overall effectiveness and leverage findings to optimize future marketing efforts.

Marketing Strategy for Independent

  • Conceptualize, strategically plan, and manage the development of marketing programs and campaigns within platform that will be distributed across various channels resulting in customer engagement and conversions.
  • Develop communications and ensure deadlines and goals are met within the marketing teams as well as communication of campaigns to the independent contractors.
  • Work with our in-house creative team to create on-brand marketing materials. Outline all project requirements and provide direction to our creative team to ensure adherence to our brand guidelines for our members.
  • Collaborate to assist in development of strategic partnership activities and implement the execution framework and strategic plan on identified opportunities.

Marketing Training & support for independent contractors

  • Support our network of independent contractors as the primary point of contact to lend guidance and marketing training to help them grow their business. 
  • Manage the design and delivery of the content for training programs and effectively present and train the members. 
  • Analyze the return on investment for training courses and make appropriate changes to ensure training remains relevant and valuable to the business.

Member Acquisition Strategy

  • Define the member acquisition strategy and priorities for the independent brands, focused on paid acquisition channels and tactics.
  • Identify and build the case for new member acquisition opportunities, in partnership with Digital Strategy and Brand teams.
  • Represent and explain business performance, insights, and demonstrate progress.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a marketing management role 
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Exceptional relationship building skills (internal and external)
