About the Opportunity

We are looking for someone who succeeds in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-energy, high-motivation environment to join the Sales Operations Team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR).  The SDR will assist in spearheading the growth of startup to mid-size business travel by sourcing, qualifying, and routing opportunities for corporate travel accounts in the Canadian market. 

Who you are

This sales role will suit someone who exceeds in selling to prospective clients primarily by telephone for travel management services.  You will be responsible for identifying and contacting potential decision makers to educate, qualify and drive new business opportunities.
 
You have a strong competitive drive to be the absolute best and you consistently strive to achieve success and generate strong prospects through lead qualification and follow up, fostering referrals, and cold calling.  The ideal applicant will be results-driven, detail-oriented, and will possess an overwhelming desire to hit sales expectations. You will be a creative, customer-focused individual and excel in a collaborative work environment.
 
Responsibilities

  • Supporting the sales departments through proactive lead generation.  This included qualification of all inbound and outbound leads via the phone, web, email and corporate events.
  • Actively participate in the innovation of new techniques and strategies for securing new accounts.
  • Partner with Account Executives to develop targeted account lists, build relationships with key decision makers to identify business needs.
  • Overcome objections and effectively communication Corporate Traveller & FCTG’s value proposition to key decision makers such as C-Level executives.
  • Transfer qualified leads to the appropriate Account Executive.
  • Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of Corporate Traveller’s offering.
  • Stay current on industry trends and maintain knowledge of competitors
  • Achieve monthly pipeline goals set by sales leadership
  • Setting new appointments for Account Executives across inbound channels
  • Using your channels to identify and nurture pre-set portfolio
  • Working closely with marketing team to manage web enquiries
  • Logging all activity in Lighthouse and Outreach
  • Active contribution to overall sales budget utilizing tech stack
  • Targeted and ongoing research on company and corporate travel industry / assist with capturing competitor intel

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of prior experience in a SDR role (or similar customer facing/sales/lead generation function)
  • Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in a target-driven environment
  • Experience in meeting and exceeding KPI's of 60 + phone calls per day
  • Strong business acumen, and/or an educational background in business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Active listener with a high level of detail orientation
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce & Outreach
  • Commitment to results: consistently achieves results, demonstrating high performance, and challenging self and others to deliver results
  • Customer Focus: demonstrates a desire to proactively help and serve internal/external customers meet their needs
