Our CRM team is in the early stages of an exciting "greenfield" project that will transform our global Salesforce instance of over 2000+ users, rebuilding from the ground up, focusing on simplification and keeping the customer at the centre of our vision. About your opportunity...
Our global CRM team is responsible for delivering technology solutions that create efficiency and enhanced effectiveness for both our people and our corporate customers. With salesforce.com at the heart of these solutions, our Salesforce Platform Developers play a key role in managing and evolving our world class CRM technology platform. As a Salesforce Developer, you will be asked to carry out platform/application development and enhancements through configuration and if required through Apex or Visualforce. You will also be expected to develop unit test scripts for configuration and code.
What you will do...
Develop end to end solutions to meet project and business needs within deadlines
Work with members of the broader team to understand business requirements
Troubleshoot existing code when issues arise and offer solutions
Work with members of the broader team to ensure the best solution is sought and implemented to any existing or future builds
Understand technical architecture and work with Solution and Technical Architects in order to provide the best solution
Integration Salesforce with other business systems, using various integration platforms and tools
Guide team members and the business in deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value, provide mentoring to functional teams on how to best leverage value from the Salesforce platform
Manage continuous optimization of existing code
Maintain best practices and code coverage with regards to custom code
Translate business requirements into logical technical designs while focusing best practices and low code/declarative first approach
Provide guidance on architecture & design, application and integration best practices, and environment management
Assist with QA and regression testing (enhancements, projects, Salesforce releases)
Conduct DevOps process, source control (including resolving merge conflicts) and pipeline deployments through CI/CD
Who you are...
3+ years of progressive experience in Salesforce Development and Administration in a complex B2B environment
Prior experience with another object-oriented programming language (eg. Java)
Prior experience with website development
Understanding of xml principles
Understanding of SF metadata API
Experience working in Agile development teams
Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle using automation tools and source control systems
Analyse data and all other sources of information
Probes for further information or greater understanding of a problem
Makes rational judgments from the available information and analysis
Produces workable solutions to a range of problems
Experience with Salesforce implementations is an asset
Experience with Lightning UI & LWC (Lightning Web Components)
Experience in working within Salesforce Governor Limits
Team oriented but able to work autonomously with minimal guidance in a fast paced environment
Client service driven, strong sense of internal customer focus and importance of the voice of the customer
Desire to continually study new technologies and functionality as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies
Solid mix of business and technical capabilities, and able to communicate complex technical issues and ideas to stakeholders within the context of their business
