Flight Centre Travel Group Americas is a dynamic and fast-growing region within the group; we are seeking a Sr. Commercial Finance Manager for our Retail, Groups and Digital Division. This role will partner with the Operational Leaders of the division and the VP Finance to drive the strategic growth and commercial development of each brand, while ensuring full financial control and process efficiency. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a go-getter Financial Analyst with experience in Digital Retailing looking for the next step in their career or an experienced Finance Manager looking use their skills to 10x grow the Retail Americas business.
Role Responsibilities
Uphold a culture of strong financial compliance & control
Development of financial plans (i.e. annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly projections), in line with business objectives and dynamics
Financial ownership of operating expenses such as advertising, promotional & marketing activities
Partnering with management to ensure appropriate & optimal resource allocation decisions are made, and expenses remain within budget
Monitoring business performance, reporting results, and developing recommendations to improve financial performance
Ad-hoc analysis of sales performance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ensuring relevant accounting procedures and controls are in place and operating effectively; ensuring results meet all requirements under IFERS
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA, Chartered Accountant and/or an MBA highly sought-after
Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance roles
Advanced Excel Skills plus PowerBI
Experience in commercial financial planning and analysis
Experience in online sales models, key metrics and cost structures preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks, be well organized, have a proven history of success
Proven ability to set goals and execute plans to achieve those goals
Ability to tell a story through presentation of results
Must be highly motivated and a self-starter (highly proactive)
Highest levels of integrity, work ethic and professionalism
Experience working in a multinational company desirable
