The Role...

• Have technical expertise, with experience working on a wide range of projects
• Be proficient with pattern design to create resilient and fault-tolerant systems
• Use testing automation using tools such as Cucumber
• Know how to create and maintain IT architecture, large-scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.
• Build scalable deployment pipelines, to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• They must be able to work effectively by themselves and with remote teams.
• Oversee complex systems analysis, design and development programs.
• Takes technical responsibility for all stages and/or iterations in a software development project, providing method specific technical advice and guidance to project stakeholders
• Mentoring and Coaching of Junior Developers

The Technology...

In our Corporate Travel technology teams, we use Java and .NET in both an on-prem and Microsoft azure cloud-based solution. The Finance Operations team which this role is aligned too is prominently a Java based team.

• CloverDX - Scheduler & ETL Platform
• Intellij for Java development
• GitHub - Source Control
• Jenkins - but we are soon migrating to Azure DevOps
• You should be an expert Java Engineer and a passionate executor.
• We are looking for someone be curious and not afraid to apply your expert skills and experience in tools you may not have used before
• Bonus points if you have strong Cucumber & Selenium skills
