Umapped, a startup company that was acquired by Flight Centre Travel Group in 2018 is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Product Manager to join our data-driven-minded team. Our office is in the trendy area of Queen west steps away from the AGO, local shops, and restaurants that make up Toronto’s creative heart.  Located in a brick and beam heritage building our office boasts an open modern concept that tells a story of world travel.

About Umapped’s product & vision

Umapped develops and operates a digital travel management platform that helps travel companies engage and communicate with their customers before, during and after their trips. The company services leading travel agencies, brands and suppliers across 17 countries and has a large customer base in Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand.

Each year, more than 2 million travellers from around the world use our product providing a significant data set for which to optimize at scale. Umapped is the global travel industry leading B2B2C trip management technology platform.

At Umapped, we continue to evolve our platform connecting every part of a trip for our customers – providing customers with a dynamic travel quote and itinerary experience with a vision to improve the travellers end-to-end journey from departure to getting around and exploring the sights of local life.


  • Drive product vision, strategy & innovation – Lead a cross functional team (UX/UI designers, technology leads and technical business analysts) to define the product vision and principles, stay ahead of product trends and development, drive product strategy and iterative innovation at all levels (market-level, enterprise-level and industry-level)
  • Prioritization & roadmap management – Influence and prioritize product opportunities with a wide range of internal and external partners.
  • Drive the Umapped product roadmap prioritization process with FCTG brands and other internal teams
  • Define key product requirements throughout the customer journey and influence internal teams towards high-value products.
  • Lead product critical metrics – Establish and measure product important metrics by closely partnering with the brands data analytics team. Build a data-driven, test and learn approach in an agile environment to ensure successful product development, launch and follow ups.
  • Communicate with key team members and stakeholders. Enable high-quality, enterprise-level decisions by providing product expertise to internal and external customers; serve as a product leader with vision to enable executive level decisions at Umapped.
  • Constantly Identify and communicate the value and strategic vision of Umapped products.
  • Lead executive-level presentations and influence a stronger customer & product centric mindset

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a dynamic product management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in product design or engineering
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Highly effective cross-functional team management
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Able to travel to conferences/events as needed
  • Bilingual communication skills in French or Spanish is an asset
