Position Title: Supplier Engagement Leader

Role Description:

Reporting to the Head of Global Corporate Land Supply, we are looking for an experienced individual to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with our corporate businesses to design, manage and roll-out products that optimize the corporate land sales and processes.

The Supplier Engagement Leader is responsible for creating value for our global land suppliers and grow drastically supplier marketing incomes. He/She will work in close relationship with our global Flight Centre corporate land team to design and maintain engagement and business development products that supplier can buy and use to increase their engagement with Flight Centre, its internal resources and its customers, promote their brand and increase their sales.

In order to realize these objectives, this position will be supplier facing and work directly with land suppliers (hotel chains, car rental and ground transportation companies) to design and execute advertising, incentives, sponsorship and other types of promotion and engagement activities. Ultimately, this role will be critical to provide excellent value to FC corporate land suppliers and position FC corporate brands (mainly FCM and Corporate Travelers) as a partner of choice.

This role will work in full alignment and in close cooperation with the FC, FCM and CT corporate marketing teams, in order to get full synchronization of the FC corporate marketing objectives but also to be able to leverage resources, tools and processes made available by the marketing organization.

Accountabilities and Objectives:

  • Work in close collaboration with the corporate land supply team to develop and implement the agreed global corporate supply strategy from a supplier marketing perspective, and ensure all land sales revenue and income targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Design, maintain and update our marketing value proposition for corporate land suppliers (hotel chains, car rental and ground preferred vendors) including menu of offers, ROI, pricing, etc
  • Design and maintain formats and content of supplier campaigns and offers to agents and external customers (travel managers, travelers TBD)
  • Design new offers to promote critical initiatives for our suppliers: new products, loyalty, CSR, etc
  • Be the point of contact for suppliers to show case our capabilities, draft marketing plans, “sell” our marketing offers, and execute supplier marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage the allocation of marketing funds provided by suppliers
  • Work in close collaboration with the global and regional brand marketing teams to insert these campaigns and initiatives within the broader marketing roadmaps and schedules (calendar) and leverage the available and appropriate channels for communications
  • Work with the regional/brands corporate businesses to leverage their capabilities (tech stack, tools and campaigns) and manage the allocation of marketing funds provided by suppliers
  • Liaises directly with Product Marketing Manager to gain implementation across the business – CT/Melon & FCM

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ minimum experience with a TMC in supply management, supplier engagement and/or product marketing, or with a land supplier (hotel chain, car rental company) working in TMC sales and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of TMCs’ hotel value proposition and programs, as well as corporate customers’ hotel programs and objectives.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively guide internal and external stakeholders, create an inspiring vision, set up best-in-class solutions and reach sustainable agreements.
  • Strong presentation skills and demonstrated success creating and using formats and designs to pitch offers and drive sales or marketing or business development products..
  • Develop and document business and processes, functions and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering internal business solutions and working with stakeholders from different functions and at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively with business, leading requests from inception to delivery.
  • A highly organized nature with high attention to detail.
  • Strong acumen to think critically and converse with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing using language understandable to management and employees
