About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes and navigating complex customer situations with professionalism and empathy?
 
As a Customer Relations Consultant, you'll play a critical role in complaint handling and dispute resolution, supporting both customers and frontline teams across the business.
 
You'll manage customer complaint workflows, provide guidance and mentoring to internal stakeholders, and help protect FCTG's reputation while balancing commercial outcomes.
 
This is an opportunity to make a real impact through customer advocacy, problem solving, negotiation, and relationship building.
 
 
What you will be doing:
  • Customer Service - processing of complaints, compliments and feedback
  • Consistent achievement of personal KPI targets
  • Contribute to team directives
  • Work closely with Customer Liaison staff (Consumer Risk) in the team to resolve disputes
  • Adhere to Customer Relations systems and operations
  • Communicate with Team Leaders, Area Leaders and various FCTG departments as an advocate for Customer Relations

 

What you will need:

  • Exceptional customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Great problem-solving ability and negotiation skills
  • Patience, tolerance and compassion are virtues in this role
  • Ability to handle conflict situations well
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to manage change
  • 100% belief in and commitment to the Flight Centre Travel Group systems and philosophies
  • Retail experience ideal but not essential – minimum 3 years travel industry experience
