Foreign Exchange Sales & Call Consultant
You’ll turn inbound enquiries into confirmed in-store visits and transactions by understanding customer needs, providing competitive FX solutions and creating a great customer experience, while protecting margin and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound customer calls and quickly understand their FX needs.
- Qualify enquiries, including currency, transaction amount, travel plans and urgency.
- Check live rates and stock availability and provide accurate quotes within approved parameters.
- Build rapport and use your sales skills to convert enquiries into confirmed store visits.
- Identify opportunities to upsell relevant products and value propositions.
- Use your judgement to find the best store outcome when stock or customer requirements vary.
- Work closely with store teams, providing clear lead information and supporting a seamless handover.
- Manage calls against agreed KPIs, including call time, conversion and lead quality.
- Respond to store queries and keep teams updated on Deal Desk availability and lead activity.
Experience & Education:
- 1–2 years’ experience in customer-facing telephone sales or service.
- Proven experience converting enquiries into sales or confirmed outcomes.
- Experience quoting or negotiating pricing, rates or similar commercial transactions.
- Comfortable working to KPIs such as call targets, conversion rates and lead management.
- A confident and commercially minded approach, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in FX, financial services, travel, retail or a centralised sales environment is highly regarded.
