Global Finance Transformation Lead

FCM Meetings & Events (M&E) is embarking on one of its most ambitious global transformation programmes - The M&E Single Operating Model (SOM). This multi-market initiative will introduce a consistent technology and process framework across our global business, enabling greater efficiency, scalability and collaboration.

Working closely with regional finance teams, corporate stakeholders and external partners, you’ll bring structure to complex initiatives and ensure our finance solutions are practical, sustainable and aligned to business needs.

Based in Australia, the UK or Europe, this role requires flexibility to support a global team and occasional domestic and international travel.

Day to day you’ll be…

  • Lead finance transformation workstreams within the M&E Single Operating Model programme, including process standardisation, system implementation and operating model changes.
  • Develop and manage project plans, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies and delivery outcomes across global markets.
  • Partner with Finance Systems, Technology, Product teams and external vendors to support successful system rollouts, integrations and data migrations.
  • Review and redesign finance processes, identifying opportunities for standardisation, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Support finance solution design, including workflows, tax configuration, reconciliation processes and GL structures ahead of market go-lives.
  • Build business cases, reporting dashboards and insights to track transformation progress, benefits and adoption.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement, communications and change activities to support successful implementation.
  • Act as a key connection point between regional finance teams, corporate stakeholders and external partners to drive collaboration and delivery.

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • 3–5 years’ experience in finance transformation, business improvement or project delivery roles.
  • Experience supporting finance system implementations, process improvement initiatives or operating model changes.
  • Strong understanding of transactional finance processes including invoicing, reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently, coordinate stakeholders and deliver outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Experience working across regions and time zones, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capability, with experience using data to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 preferred) and finance automation tools is highly regarded.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline is preferred.
  • CA/CPA qualification or progress towards qualification is desirable but not essential.
