Management Accountant |12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Powering business performance through financial insight, control, and innovation.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in driving financial control, reporting excellence, and business performance insights across the organisation. You will partner closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider finance teams to support strategic decision-making while ensuring strong financial governance and process discipline. This is a hands-on opportunity where you'll combine technical accounting expertise with commercial thinking, helping to improve systems, reporting, and processes that support sustainable business growth. You'll have the opportunity to influence outcomes, contribute to key projects, and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and evolving environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and analyse weekly cashflow forecasts
  • Prepare and analyse monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
  • Review, understand, and enhance monthly accounting processes
  • Create and improve financial reporting, systems, and processes
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
  • Support annual audit requirements, including preparation of workpapers
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives aligned with best practice
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to key business improvement and change management initiatives
  • Complete month-end accounting activities including reconciliations, journal postings, and invoicing
  • Produce and analyse monthly management reports, tracking financial and non-financial performance against KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and trends
  • Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on actual results versus budget and forecast expectations
  • Collaborate with Management Accounting and Transactional Finance teams to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Business Central experience beneficial but not essential
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a commercial environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and support business growth initiatives
