About the Opportunity
The Accounts Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive support across both financial and administrative functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts while upholding high standards of efficiency and attention to detail. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, reconciling transactions, and supporting internal reporting processes. You will also plays a key role in liaising with suppliers, clients, and internal teams, contributing to the smooth financial operation of the business and the delivery of professional and reliable service.
Hours: Monday to Friday standard business hours
Salary: $65 k p.a. plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements
Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring proper organisation and accessibility
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
Prepare reports and spreadsheets as needed
Provide administrative and reporting support to the senior finance team
Skills and Qualifications Essential:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational and time management skills
Education and Qualifications:
Certificate III or IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration (or equivalent)
A Diploma or higher in Accounting or Finance is desirable
Formal training or certification in accounting software MYOB AccountRight
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, general ledger)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables)
Ability to generate and interpret financial reports
