Finance Systems Business Improvement Team Leader- South Bank, QLD

The Finance Automation Team is an evolution of the OMNIS back of house project within Flight Centre Brand and will take a lead role in key finance optimisation and automation initiatives which focus on removing onerous and manual finance processes from our stores and finance teams. 

The Team Leader with strong attention to detail and process efficiencies will identify opportunities for streamlining processes, in addition to identifying suitable automation solutions with the aim of centralising these finance processes in the ever-changing environment. This onsite role will be based in South Bank, QLD.
 
 
 
Primary Accountabilities & Objectives:
  • Execute other projects and duties that may be assigned
  • Report project outcomes, progress, risks and escalations
  • Report, write, and document desktop and system procedures
  • Document and understand data needs of finance system requirements
  • Present data analysis - interpretation in clear and compelling manner
  • Facilitate decision-making process by operations and finance personnel
  • Research, implement, and support new operational and finance system implementation when necessary
  • Execute project planning from ideation, requirements, design, build, testing, deployment and migration to business-as-usual (BAU) operation
  • Engage with internal and external solution providers to help the Finance team plan project outcomes and deliver to plan
  • Promote improved communication, collaboration, organisation and teamwork skills both internally and with other departments
  • Develop and implement robust communications plan to ensure successful management of change
  • Assist and train finance and accounting team members on how to use the system which includes providing guidance to the team on existing tools, as well as assist them with researching issues

 

 
Experience:
  • Experience leading a team
  • Tertiary level qualification in relevant field
  • Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
  • A self-starter, able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • 3-5+ Years working experience in a similar role with experience in managing end to end projects
  • Advanced experience using systems and frameworks to support project tracking including benefits realisation
  • Salary on offer; $90-95k (excluding super) plus a potential 10% upside (based on experience and the performance of the business)
