About this opportunity...
We are looking for an Air Content Tactician to join the team! The Air Content Tactician will take ownership of UK Leisure airfare content, and develop initiatives to support both supply and brand strategies, helping to drive an improved margin result for UK Leisure brands. The purpose of this role is to ensure the most optimal content and products for our customers, acting as an owner of our fares warehouse. They will know exactly what fares we currently have, what is missing and what we should negotiate for from our Air partners. They will manage content controls to accurately distribute content for both consultant and customer use.
This role provides a great exposure to various sides of the business, as you will interface with multiple stakeholders across our supply, marketing, brands, data, finance and business solutions functions. The Content Tactician will be a member of the Global Revenue Management Community, supported by the Head of Revenue Management, driving the delivery and execution of UK Leisure air content strategies.
Objectives...
Content monitoring to ensure a solid knowledge of “what’s on the shelf" and a comprehensive understanding of all elements of UK Leisure air content: price, restrictions, & eligibility terms.
Develop advanced knowledge and expertise of how fares are filed and distributed across the entire flow from supplier to customer, and is able to clearly pass on that knowledge.
Work closely with our Leisure brands and key stakeholders (Supply/Brands/Consultants) to make the most of air content opportunities
Identify the impact of changes in content available, and make a decision on where we need to push suppliers for competitive content.
Make content distribution decisions and execute, to ensure restrictions are placed where need, and content is accessed through the most optimal sources; being mindful of different requirements by brand.
Coordinate the actions with the various teams, using commercial judgement to prioritize accordingly.
Support with wider projects where applicable.
Skills and Capabilities...
Essential: Previous experience with GDS system(s) and good understanding of airfares/content and end-to-end air booking flow.
Essential: experience in or good understanding of the Leisure travel market and our Leisure brands
Essential: a good head for numbers, comfortable with using Excel, and ideally also PowerBI or other reporting systems proficiency.
Desirable but not essential: Previous experience using Amadeus FareXpert, Amadeus Air Preferencer or other content management tools. And/or previous experience in an analytical or pricing role.
The perfect candidate will have a high attention to detail, be able to take initiative to enable strategies, be an effective communicator, have a strong analytical mindset, and show strong time-management and organisation skills to coordinate various stakeholders’ actions and deliveries.
Must have a good understanding of business acumen in order to understand revenue streams and opportunities.
Must enjoy working on their own workstack as well as collaborating with a wider team and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
