About the role:

 

The Assistant Financial Controller will be responsible for providing insight into the Leisure Brand productivity, financial results and risk environment, challenging decision making by providing clear and well thought out recommendations based on operational performance reporting.

This role will have an ability to collaborate across teams, developing reporting to support insightful recommendations, in addition to helping manage the control environment and protect the brand from risk by reviewing, streamlining, and enhancing key operational processes as a key focus.

This role will be hands-on and with the opportunity to be involved in supporting the wider team with process improvements and change management.

 

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

 

  • Assisting all relevant teams with financial reporting and analysis
  • Tracking and providing insights into productivity of team operations
  • Reviewing internal processes and enhancing a strong control environment
  • Streamlining and improving efficiencies in a lean operating environment
  • Developing team operational strategies, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity plans

 

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Undergraduate in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
  • Previous experience leading a Finance team
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting/analytical experience
  • Proven experience in providing value add insights into business operations
  • Track record of instigating and promoting collaborative team environments
  • Experience with financial and management reporting, including dashboards, tables, analysis, and report writing
  • Ability to communicate financial insights to a broad audience- including both finance and operational stakeholders
