About the role. Mō te Tūranga

Flight Centre Travel Group’s Independent Travel Division is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to partner our Leadership Team and lead the Finance Team. This is a key role in shaping our financial future. The role will operate at both strategic and operational levels, supporting the deployment and execution of business strategies while ensuring robust financial control, continuous process improvement, and effective change management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Business Partner the Envoyage NZ GM and wider Leadership Team.
• Manage and lead the Envoyage NZ Finance Team
• Be a hands on leader with a passion for developing and evolving your team's capability.
• Lead and oversee financial operations and adherence to IFRS accounting standards, company policies and FCTG minimum standards.
• Take ownership of the monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the region/division
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and business planning
• Deliver variance analysis and KPI reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
• Identify risks and opportunities and provide proactive recommendations
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting and operational efficiency
• Review and sign-off the Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Maintain and improve our control environment and ensure any risks to the Balance Sheet are understood and minimised within the business
• Support the annual audit and liaise with Auditors
