We are on the lookout for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Enablement team at Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG). You will be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of our shared build and hosting platforms.
The DevOps Engineer will support and enable engineering teams with our DevOps practices and tooling and help drive the best solution for our customers whilst maintaining the integrity, performance and security of our platform.

Day to day:
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to build, test and release software across all our environments
Manage our AWS Cloud Infrastructure accounts within the overall Flight Centre account
Improving efficiency by automating all aspects of cloud infrastructure, testing and code deployment
Own the quality of what we build, through automation and observability to ensure operational reliability and performance
Design, build efficient, testable and maintainable cloud solutions with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution
Analyse business requirements and problem solve to create the right solutions for our customers
Review security findings and implement remediation tasks
Participate in code reviews with other engineers to provide feedback to ensure we maintain quality, standards, meets requirements and compliance
Research technologies and trends to contribute to our solutions
Maintain and improve our documentation across code bases, architectures and our knowledge bases
Be a participant in the global engineering community improving our practice across the company
Be an expert in your domain, live and breathe the product, advocating the customers voice
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
You hold 5+ years working as a DevOps Engineer
You have proven experience in AWS cloud
You have a strong understanding of Cloud Security concepts and experience delivering solutions that conform to AWS security best practice and relevant data handling policies
Understanding and proven experience in implementing Continuous Delivery
Hand-on experience running containerised applications with Docker that are built for scale using AWS services such as ECS/EKS
Experience with serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, CDK & Terraform
Experience with observability tools, such as logging (Splunk, Kibana) and monitoring (New Relic, Data Dog)
Experience with Linux and shell / scripting languages (bash/Python)
