The Injury Management Advisor plays a critical role in providing specialist advice and assistance to our employees, at all levels, on health, safety and wellbeing within FCTG.

Based in the Brisbane Head Office at South Bank and reporting into the Employee Relations Leader, the primary focus of this role is to manage work-related and some nonwork-related injuries for Flight Centre Travel Group.  This role is responsible for the management and coordination of workers’ compensation claims, managing injuries and partners with the business and external insurers/agencies to ensure effective and efficient outcomes for our people and the business.

Day to day you’ll be… 

  • Oversee and manage member claims, reviews, litigation, rehabilitation, return-to-work plans, fitness assessment and compensation matters across all jurisdictions
  • Provide comprehensive, prompt and accurate advice to leaders and members regarding injury management and workers compensation
  • Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders, including mangers, workers compensation insurers, SafeWork NSW, rehabilitation providers and medical professionals
  • Act as liaison point, facilitating communication between key parties involved in the injury management process
  • Address inquiries, provide updates and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive file management system for all injury management records, and ensuring compliance with organisation and legislative requirements
  • Support leaders and members in understanding injury management processes and their roles in this, whilst building capacity within the organisation through providing guidance on effective injury management practices         

 

We’d love to hear from you if you have… 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in injury management, workers compensation or similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build confident and effective relationships
  • Proven experience in negotiation and problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and guidelines
  • Relevant qualifications in injury management, occupational health, or related fields (preferred)
