About the opportunity

We are looking for a Business Development Partner (BDP) to drive new business sales across the Envoyage Network. The ideal candidate will implement strategies and cultivate relationships with key decision makers to create new sales opportunities through various channels such as networking, customer profiling and local marketing/events.

This role focuses on new business acquisition (70%), sales process (20%), and support and stick rate (10%), with clear performance metrics for each objective.

This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and leverage networks for opportunity and acquisition through multi-level relationships with key suppliers and industry bodies, internally within FCTG and from existing agencies
  • Work with marketing team to assist with new lead generation 
  • Utilise Salesforce to record customer activity and management of opportunities 
  • Qualify customer needs, identify gaps and provide tailored solutions
  • Understand market trends, competitor product offerings and Envoyage differentiators 
  • Present products and services in a compelling way to maximise travel spend, stick rate and profitability
  • Ensure brand standards, CVP’s and market proposition is clear and compelling
  • Negotiate mutually agreeable outcomes whilst optimising margin and profitability 
  • Guide the customer through the transition phase and provide support resources


Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a BDM role within the travel industry, resulting in established strong relationships with independent travel agencies 
  • Consistent high performance in relation to reaching sales targets  
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Understanding of Travel Agency processes, and the travel supplier landscape
