We are looking for a curious and hard-working individual with a strong analytical background and a dedication for self-improvement. You'll drive how data is leveraged in solving business problems and opportunities. Use your experience to consult with stakeholders in problem-definition, setting success metrics and shaping the way forward through data insights.

Use your deep practical understanding of the data, workflows, methods and tooling to autonomously drive analysis and reporting within scope, while adapting based on business and user needs. Take ownership of reporting, visualisation, and workflows and structures, making solutions scalable, reproducible, and long-term focused.

Day in the life:

  • Extract data from multiple sources and combine them into required datasets for model building or analytics
  • Conduct exploratory data profiling techniques, crosstabs, and summary descriptive statistics to uncover actionable insights
  • Pick analytically valid approaches, favoring iterative delivery that solves for the objective, not just the ask
  • Clearly and confidently articulate decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies, and frameworks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Leverage data to shape product squad strategy, providing support and/or leadership as needed
  • Play a critical role in tackling opaque, unstructured problems and develop core analytic frameworks that shape the business
  • Build out data availability and business intelligence solutions while fostering a data-driven culture across teams

 

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

  • Solid experience hiring, building, mentoring and leading a team
  • 5+ years of experience in product and customer analytics
  • 3+ years of full-time working experience in quantitative analysis roles
  • Bachelors or Masters in mathematics, data science or analytics, or other numerate, finance, business degree
  • Experience using relational databases and big data via writing performant queries in SQL against multi-terabyte and billion row datasets in Azure Data Lake, EDW, AWS or Hadoop environments
  • Experience with modern web analytics tools (Adobe analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel etc)
  • Experience using modern visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik)
