As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, testing, and launching innovative in-house applications within the EAM product pillars. Your primary focus will be on building robust backend systems, though you'll occasionally contribute to frontend development as well. You’ll have the opportunity to create high-quality, user-friendly, scalable, and maintainable software that truly makes a difference for our EAM customers. As part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you’ll also provide occasional technical support and mentorship to Junior Software Engineers alongside the Software Engineering Lead, helping to shape their growth and success.
Day to day:
Build efficient, testable and maintainable solutions with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution
Work across the entire stack and help transition our applications to a cloudnative, containerized, clustered, micro-services architecture
Write backend code in Javascript / typescript (NestJS framework), Java and Spring Framework
Write frontend code in TypeScript, JavaScript, and the React Framework
Write database queries in Oracle/SQL and PL/SQL Collaborate in our cross-functional pillars to plan and deliver high quality solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment
Take initiative and always look for ways to improve the quality of our solutions, code bases, technical debt, standards, processes and best practices
Own the quality of what we build, through testing, test automation, and observability to ensure operational reliability and performance Maintain and improve the documentation across our code bases, architectures, and knowledge bases
Be a participant in the global engineering community and improve our practice across the company
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
At least 7 years of professional experience in software development
Professional experience as a Software Engineer working across frontend and backend systems
A proven track record in leading by example in code quality, system architecture, and technical standards
A passion for supporting and enabling others to continuously improve and be more productive
Advanced knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework
Advanced knowledge of the Jakarta Persistence API with Hibernate
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database management systems
Knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, JavaScript, and the Facebook React Framework Desired Knowledge of automated testing technologies such as JUnit, Cypress, and Selenium
Knowledge of software telemetry analysis and observability technologies such as Splunk, Newrelic, and AWS cloudwatch
Knowledge of the AWS cloud Experience with DevOps tooling and practices
Experience maintaining compliance posture across systems
