The role is responsible for designing and optimising learning and talent development initiatives to support our FCTG technology teams. The role will ensure that employees across the technology function have access to the skills, knowledge, and development pathways needed to thrive in a dynamic and fast-evolving industry. By leveraging best-in-class learning methodologies, industry trends and business insights, the role will identify and support talent growth, engagement, and retention within the FCTG technology cohort. There will also be opportunity to support wider FCTG initiatives. Please note this role can be based in Brisbane, Boston or London.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
Learning & Development
Partner with technology leaders to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning programs
Design and deliver learning experiences aligned with and utilising FCTG learning methodologies and instructional design principles
Develop and manage a robust learning offering tailored to technology roles, including software engineering and development, cybersecurity and other support roles
Leverage digital learning tools and platforms to enhance accessibility and engagement
Measure and analyse learning effectiveness, iterating on programs for continuous improvement
Maintain an intermediate to advanced fluency in key learning systems, diagnostic and design tools
Stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends and new innovations to continually improve processes, learning and capability
Talent Development & Growth
Create career development pathways for technology employees, mapping skills to future roles
Support talent mobility by facilitating mentorship, coaching, and cross functional learning opportunities
Collaborate with other L&D, talent and leadership peers to align learning programs with talent retention strategies
Drive leadership development initiatives to cultivate high-potential employees within technology teams
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Work closely with technology leaders, Head of Talent, L&D and Leadership to understand business objectives and align learning and talent priorities accordingly
Collaborate with external learning providers and industry experts to enhance training offerings
Act as an advocate for a learning culture within the technology function, promoting continuous growth and talent development
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
5 years+ experience in technology Learning & Development/Talent related role
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Education, Design, Business or Human Resources Cert. IV in Training and Assessment
Additional certification/s from talent and/or training associations
