In this role as our next Technical Product Manager, you will ensure that Flight Centre Travel Group's (FCTG) technical platforms meet our customer and business needs. You will partner with key internal stakeholders to describe technical capabilities and identify gaps, and work closely with cross-functional delivery teams to develop roadmaps that support current and future business needs.
Your Responsibilities:
Uncover and understand customer and business needs
Align technical platforms to customer and business needs
Partner with delivery teams to develop technical roadmaps
Train and develop stakeholders on a technical platform
Assess the market for platforms and solutions
Benchmark internal platforms against external offerings
Lead the product lifecycle for a technical platform
Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert for a technical platform
Assess and benchmark technical platforms in the market against current capabilities
Define the strategy for a technical platform and develop technical roadmaps that evolve platforms to meet current and future customer and business needs
Generate and share ideas that improve customer experience and support
Gain a deep understanding of customer and business needs and identify and address platform capability gaps.
Define and track objectives and key results (OKRs) for a platform
Collaborate and communicate with Product Directors and stakeholders on key platform metrics
Who you are:
A bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
4+ years professional experience in a technical product management role
Experience within travel or other internet-scale environments
Strong understanding of the travel or retail industry
Strong technical knowledge and experience
Demonstrated understanding of Agile principles and processes
Excellent adaptive team leadership capabilities including the ability to foster productive team dynamics, engage and enable teams and coach for performance
Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities
